Extended Magazine Release for Glock Pistols

This Glock Gen4 
Extended magazine release is a made from high strength polymer material (same as 
the gun) and fits all small frame and standard frame generation 4 Glock pistols. 
 It can be installed for right or left hand operation and extended 0.145” 
(3.7mm) from the factory magazine release.  The shape of the extension can be 
modified to fit individual needs.  It is a very simply modification for fast 
magazine exchange for competition; shooters with big or small hands.
 
Features:
1. 0.145" (3.7mm) extended out from the factory mag release.
2. Made from high strength polymer material (same as the gun) and would not wear out frame slot of the firearm or factory magazines.
2. Release button can be installed with the release button on the left hand or right hand side of the frame (same as the original mag release).
3. This high strength polymer release button can be easily modified to fit individual needs by using a file or cutter.
 
Specification:
1. Fits the following GLOCK GEN4 Glock: 17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38 & 39 (Does not fit Gen 3 or Gen 4 G20,21)
2. Weight: 0.052 oz (1.46 gm).
3.  Additional length over 
the factory mag release: 0.106" (2.7 mm). 
(Note: different shooting 
sports have different limitation on firearms modification; please consult with 
the proper authority.) 
Installation: 
Warning -  
before installation begins.
1.  Always wear eye protection if assembly or disassembly of firearms is 
required. 
2. If you are not comfortable with the installation procedures described below, please have the work done by a qualified gunsmith.
3. Make sure the gun is unloaded before installation begins

Steps
1.    Separate the slide form the frame as per Glock manual.
2. With the front end of the frame pointing to you, use your hand to hold down the mag release while using a screwdriver to pry the "magazine catch spring" out from the groove of the mag release.
3. Use a long nose pliers to pull out the "magazine catch Spring"
4. Slide the mag release out of the frame.
5. Reverse the steps to install the extended mag release.
Warning: After installation, test fire your pistol in various shooting position and making sure that your hands would not accidental activate the extended magazine release. Also holster test the proper function of the extended magazine release.
