Welcome! This is Sandy and I am your instructor. I have been teaching outdoor sports since 1978. The way I teach is I first digest the course information then re-arrange the information into a story telling manner, with real examples and class involvement so that my students can retain the information for a long time and passed the required test easily. Mr. Sandy Yu is a qualified Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Instructor/Examiner who is qualified to teach both the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course. He is also a CORE examiner who is qualified to teach and examine the Conservation & Outdoor Recreation Education course; IPSC Black Badge Instructor; Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor & Pleasure Craft Operator Card Instructor/Examiner.
Mr. Sandy Yu has in-depth knowledge of Firearms. He is the inventor of Magloc - a ring activated smartgun device that requires the user to wear a magnetic ring in order to fire the gun. Mr. Sandy Yu is also a First Class Diver of the British Sub-Aqua Club and holds the Scuba Diving Instructor Qualifications of BS-AC; CMAS; NAUI (life time member) and PADI. He starts teaching since 1978. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

New guidelines starting 16 June 2016 on CFSC
2.11. lnstructors will ensure that there is no talking
during exams and that all mobile devices are turned off
and put away prior
to, and during, the exams.
2.l2.lnstructors will allow a student who fails an exam to
re-take the exam after a minimum of one day has
passed. lf more than 7
days have passed, the student must retake the entire course.
2.12.1. lf the student fails the re-test, the entire course must be re-taken.

1. Safe Reloading of Rifle and Handgun ammunition workshop.
Course fee $45.00
Learn the proper way to load rifle and handgun ammo. By the end of the
class, students should be able to load some live rounds and practice dummy
ammo. All reloading equipment is provided in the class. Please register
by phone or email if you are planning to come and we only run this course
once or twice a year.

IPSC 180 Degree Turn and Fire Training Video
To attend the course, you have to register one week ahead and received the
course material for self study. You should has a semi-auto handgun of 9
mm and above and can hit a target of 11 inch x 9 inch (a normal typing
paper) at 25 m 7 times out of 10 with no time limit.

More information regarding various training courses
A. B.C. Hunter Number To apply for a B.C. hunter number, one has to pass the Conservation & Outdoor Recreation Education (CORE) examination. The passing mark is 70% in British Columbia, Canada. Course Detail: 1. Outdoor Survival and Safety. 2. Firearms Safety. (Due to the fact that starting January 1,2001 all person handling firearms in Canada must have a valid firearm license, this section can be omitted). 3. Animal Identification. 4. Bird Identification. 5. Hunting Laws and Regulations. 6. Ethics.
B. Possession And Acquisition
License
(PAL) - valid throughout Canada? Starting January 1, 2001 all person handling firearms not supervised by a qualified person in Canada must have a valid firearm license. This include Canada citizen, resident and visitor to Canada. All person require a valid Firearm License to purchase ammunition. To apply for the PAL 1. First pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course Examination and obtain the report Form JUS 332EF. Passing mark for the exam. is 80% and above. 2. Complete the Form JUS 670E together with your exam. report JUS 332EF, a recent photo and application fee and return them as directed. If everything goes smoothly, in 1 to 3 months you will have your Firearm License. a. How to obtain Exam. Report Jus 332 EF? 1. Join the Training Courses offered by qualified firearm instructors. There are two courses: a. Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) - to possess and use long guns. b. Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) to possess and use handguns. (must pass the CFSC first). CFSC & CRFSC course detail: 1. Introduction to Firearms: evolution, types etc. 2. Firearms Safety: accident, locking device and personal safety. ACTS and PROVE. 3. Ammunition - basic knowledge of rife and handgun cartridges, shotgun shells and black powder gun. 4. Operation Firearm Actions: bolts, lever, break, pump and semi-automatic firearms. For handguns - ball & cap, single action revolver, double action revolver, single action semi-automatic, double action semi-automatic, break top, hinge action and bolt action. 5. Safe Handling & Carrying of Firearms: in the field, in vehicles, at the shooting range and home storage. 6. Shooting Techniques & Procedures: aiming, trigger control and shooting positions. 7. Care of Firearms: cleaning material and procedures. 8. Responsibilities of Firearms Owners and Users.
C. IPSC Black Badge Training An action shooting sport that requires high level of mind and body co-ordination. 1. Pre-request: Need to have a PAL and can hit a target of 8"x11" at 25 yards 7 times out of 10 with no time limit. 2. Equipment required for the training: one semi-auto firearm of caliber 9mm and above; 4 magazines; gun holster; gun belt; magazine holder and 250 rounds of ammunition. 3. The Training: About 3 hours and rules and regulation of IPSC (International Practical Shooting Sports Confederation); shooting skills and safety issue and 10 hours of shooting at the shooting range. 4. Course fee: $150 that includes $70 IPSC membership fee; $20 for IPSC books; $10 for the black badge. D. Pleasure Craft Operator Card Course duration is about 5 to 6 house
that covers all the requirement required by the Canadian Coast Guard.
